Majestic Tree on West Barr Road

$850.00

In this painting, I sought to capture the vibrant essence of nature through a whirl of dynamic colors and expressive brush strokes. These strokes, inspired by the Fauvist and Impressionist movements, are not just marks on the surface but a manifestation of my passion. The solitary tree stands resilient, symbolizing growth and vitality amidst the swirling skies and vivid fields. Every stroke is infused with this passion, intended to bring a burst of life and energy into any space it graces.

Plein Air Painting Experience: I embarked on a unique journey with this painting. I started it late in the day and reached a midpoint. However, the landscape I had captured was dramatically altered the next day due to county work on the streambank. This unexpected turn of events added a layer of intrigue to the painting. I was able to work on some of it on location but ultimately finished the painting in my studio, preserving the essence of the original plein air experience.

Size: 36 in. Diameter

Medium: Oil on Paper

Year: 2024

Backing: The painting's backing is a hand-built foam-core support structure designed for durability and to secure the painting so it can hang safely on the wall.
